As triathletes, it's hard not to get totally sucked into the excitement of draft legal races. The speed alone is its own beast for those who love the sport. And with John in the field, we had to invite him in back for a second season, knowing we would be cheering him on no matter what.
Blink, though, and the race is over! ( And many of ya may not have already realized that the season has begun...)
Last year, John caught a lot of attention at the 2024 Karlovy Vary World Triathlon Cup where he took home his first major win after a battle with Norway's Casper Stornes. It was a fight from gun to tape (as most draft legal races are), and after the race John said it was "probably the hardest race I've ever done in my life." Relive the race here.
Watching John race gets our heart rates up, and his passion for the sport is absolutely contagious. He's got the young fire you can't help but be inspired by.
And he has already been busy testing the waters this season, with two races under his belt including sprints in both Abhu Dhabi (where his USA relay team clinched 2nd) and Napier (where he got 10th in a FAST field, only 30 seconds behind the winner).
"Come 2028, I want to be in a position to really compete."

Go to Snacks: Rx Bars, as many different types of fruit and nuts out thee, and maybe a few chocolate chip cookies.
Biggest Influences: Anyone who tries to forge their own path in life. People who crave adventure and to write their own story fire me up - that's how I want to live my life.
